If you like a relaxed setting with beautiful views of the countryside, where you can savour the flavours, then you’ve found a real gem of a place.
We vary our menu seasonally, and have specials on the board, but keep a selection of popular mainstays and ‘comfort’ dishes. Our simple ethos is to ensure a quality lunch using the best ingredients, with every meal cooked from scratch.
Well what can I say? A diamond find. My kids, hubby and I had lunch here yesterday and back for breakfast today, faultless. Totally recommend the Goats cheese, beetroot, rocket and onion toastie. A great selection of delicious homemade cakes also, I even spied Gluten free too! Fresh coffee and a stunning view, what else can you ask for. Next time we will definitely be booking into one of the special Bistro nights.
We offer a good selection of changing cakes and homebaking, with some popular favourites that include homemade strawberry tarts, empire biscuits and the ultimate delight… Caramac Fancies (remember Caramac bars?). Chocolate cake, victoria sponge, carrot cake and the usual suspects can also be found (if they haven’t already been eaten).
Macmillans lends itself well to meeting friends for coffee, cake and a catch up. Feel free to park up with your laptop and work for a while, enjoying some great coffee and a top view. We welcome book groups, relaxed networking meetings, the drop-off parents and all the sweaty cyclists, runners & walkers that take advantage of the stunning Queen Elizabeth Forest Park that is on our doorstep. We are also close to the Rob Roy Way.
